Regional Economic Revitalization and Utilization
Planning Goals
1. Capitalize on new and emerging
economic development opportunities,
2. Develop and
retain a high-skill, high-wage, high-growth workforce (talent development
and retention strategies), and
3. Identification
and support of infrastructure improvements that encourage new business
growth and business expansion, as well as “quality of place” strategies.
Infrastructure improvements may begin by ensuring that adequate
water, wastewater, road, electric, and telecommunications are considered
when planning for future needs, but will also expand and diversify
the regions’ advantages – good schools, safe streets, home town
environment, etc. |
